My life's purpose is first to show God's glory and the wonders
of His hands. I am so thankful to have had parents who encouraged me and
an uncle who as a professional artist himself was able to guide me.

 My
greatest joy as a child was to draw and create things. From plain paper
and a pencil I found I could create a drawing. From a box of crayons,
a painting. And from a box of clay, another whole world in miniature sculptures.
And so it began...
I
worked many years as a fashion illustrator. I painted pet portraits on
the side. From there I was working as the Product Sculptress for a candy
and wax candle company. This is when I decided to start my own business
that went along with my favorite hobby, creating sculptures of miniature
animals. I now have over fifteen years designing and sculpting 1 inch
scale miniatures. Through it all I have continued painting in the fine
arts, which has always been an important part of my life.
Concerning My 1/12 Scale Miniature Sculptures
I design my animal sculptures to interact with one to another -- creating
a realistic and lively scene.
A
dream of mine is to live in a country log cabin with a warm fireplace;
kittens curled up at my feet and my many pups playing for my attention.
I'd enjoy bunnies, deer and other critters stopping by for a friendly
visit. Since for the time being reality has chosen a different path for
me, I decided to live my dream by recreating my ideal world in miniature.
I
start my miniatures by using sculpting compound, a toothpick and dental
tools. I strive for exact miniature size, proportion and detail. Highly
detailed castings are made from my original sculptures and then skillfully
hand painted individually with true to life colors. Each miniature is
then signed and dated. I strive for realism as well as giving each animal
its own PERSONAL EXPRESSION.
